Dane and Zade

Welcome to Dane and Zade. I’m Donald. I’m a graphic designer and illustrator based in Philippines. My boys’ names are Dane and Zade. Their names are just right for this project and I can’t think of anything else. So what is this project all about? Dane and Zade is my contribution in fighting to save mother earth. That through the things I create, others may be inspired to think first before throwing away their garbage. I create stuff out of materials that can be recycled, stuff like toys, greeting cards and paper bowls.

​The other objective of this site is to spread my family’s awareness on health and wellbeing. My wife runs a small farm and a restaurant and hey, we have yoga classes too. So why not spread the love right?

​Me and my two boys, we love to paint. I consider painting as an additional source of income. During my not so busy days at work, I keep a canvas beside my computer and while waiting for my client's feedback or a new task. I keep myself busy by painting. I love painting but to be honest it's a bit costly and there are days when I don't sell much. I joined a group called Ecovolunteers on Facebook. After a while I see post from members about how our planet is slowly choking to death and I said to myself that there must be something I can do to help heal Mother Earth. During this time I asked God, the Universe, the Force (Yes, I’m a big Star Wars fan) for wisdom that I may thought about other ways of having an additional source income that costs less to produce. And just like that, one day I noticed a pile of worn out clothes and old pillows in the corner of our house and thus Dane and Zade Monsters were born. Then after a while I started recycling cardboards, paper bags and scrap papers and turn them into toys, greeting cards and bowls. I am thankful that I was also given a chance to use my talent to contribute in saving the environment. I do hope that you too can have a chance to use your talent to contribute in saving our only home planet.
